lil' chickens of marietta
Why Chickens?
Many public art exhibits around the country have successfully promoted local artists and raised money for nonprofits while also enhancing tourism. We wanted to give our exhibit a unique Marietta flavor and keep it fun. The famous Big Chicken has been a landmark in our community since the 1960's and today is recognized as a local icon and navigational beacon. The lil' chickens won't help you with directions, but you'll never look at chickens the same way.
How Can I Get Involved?
Sponsorships: The lil' chickens of marietta is actively seeking sponsorships for chickens. Sponsorships are available to individuals, groups and businesses. Sponsors will be recognized by a plaque attached to the sculpture and through a series of promotions. Sponsoring a chicken will also allow sponsors to donate money to the nonprofit of their choice. Artists: Artists interested in this project have submitted artwork proposals which are featured on this site. When an artist's proposal is selected by a sponsor, that artist will then receive a blank chicken to transform.
Volunteers: All nonprofit organizations rely on volunteers to be successful. We have many opportunities for volunteers to get involved including sales, promotions/events and chicken maintenance. For more information on becoming a volunteer, click here.
The lil' chickens of marietta. is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization. Our purpose is to promote local artists and their work, and through that process to raise funds for local nonprofit organizations.
